The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) arrested 33-year-old Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore of Silver Spring for a commercial robbery at a 7-Eleven on Fenton Street. Detectives, assisted by the Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), identified Sheehy-Poore through surveillance footage, obtained a warrant, and took him into custody on March 24.
According to MCPD, “On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at approximately 11:39 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a robbery. The investigation determined that the suspect entered the store, went directly behind the counter and assaulted an employee. The suspect obtained property and left the store.
Officers provided a description of the suspect to other officers in the area and to RTIC personnel who reviewed surveillance cameras in the area and located the suspect entering a nearby building. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore.
