MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Crews in Montgomery County were working to rescue a worker who had gotten stuck after falling into a basin at the WSSC Potomac Water Filtration Plant on Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 12:30 p.m., David Pazos with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) said officials were dispatched to the filtration plant at 12200 River Road for the report of an injured person in a confined space.

There, crews found a worker who had fallen half a foot into a large basin in a permit-required area. Officials were working to remove them for evaluation, but they reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
