D.C. OIG Investigator Convicted of Assault on the Metro

A fraud investigator with the Office of the Inspector General was convicted Thursday of misdemeanor assault for shoving two buskers on the Metro.

Harold Christy was found guilty following a bench trial in front of D.C. Superior Court Judge Robert Richter. He was released on his personal recognizance pending sentencing, which is scheduled for April 15, according to the court docket.

Christy’s attorney, Phil Andonian, says he intends to appeal the verdict.
