QUEEN ANNE’S COUNTY, Md. — On Friday, Maryland Governor Wes Moore responded to WBOC’s questions about the passionate speech Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes presented on the Maryland House floor late last month, speaking out against a $67B budget that includes tax hikes and budget cuts.
Governor Moore and his team were in Queen Anne’s County on Friday for a cabinet meeting and tour of the new Queen Anne’s County YMCA and Active Aging Center. WBOC’s Kirstyn Clark asked Moore about his thoughts on Sample-Hughes’ remarks.
“We have now been to the Eastern Shore over 30 times since I’ve been the governor,” Moore said, indirectly addressing the speech. “I’m really proud of the historic investments that we’re making on the Eastern Shore, and we’re going to keep on doing it while also making sure we’re providing a tax cut to middle class Marylanders.”…
