CHEVY CHASE, Md. — What started as a welfare check quickly turned into a chilling discovery. Behind the closed doors of a Montgomery County home, police found a married couple dead — a tragedy now ruled a murder-suicide, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
On Wednesday, police and fire rescue crews responded to the 8500 block of Connecticut Avenue. Inside the home, they discovered 61-year-old Kate Simoni Fralin and her husband, 63-year-old William Scott Fralin, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds. A firearm and ammunition were found nearby.
