MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — For the second time this year, a court has delayed a final sentencing for 19-year-old Alex Ye, a former high school student convicted of plotting a mass shooting at two schools in Montgomery County, Maryland.
7News has been following this story since 2024, when Andrea Ye, who goes by Alex, wrote a 129-page manifesto detailing a mass shooting at Thomas S. Wootton High School and Lakewood Elementary School in Rockville, Maryland.
Ye appeared in court with a khaki colored-jumpsuit, his parents sat behind him, as his defense pleaded for another 30-day continuance in the young adult’s sentencing.
