Velatis Caramels and Chocolate Sweet Shop has closed its location at 8408 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring and will soon reopen at the Shoppes at Bethesda, located at 4928 Hampden Lane.
In a message posted to Facebook on Thursday, the shop thanked customers for “16 wonderful years” and shared excitement about the upcoming move.
Founded in the 1850s, Velatis is known for its handmade caramels, toffees, sea salt turtles, truffles, and Belgian chocolates. An opening date for the new location has not yet been announced…
