CHANTILLY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — One person is dead and two officers were taken to the hospital Wednesday after being involved in a shooting during a traffic stop in Chantilly.
The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) posted on the X platform just after 3:15 p.m. that officers were in the 4000 block of Majestic Ln., near Greenbriar. There, two officers had been shot while they conducted a traffic stop.

The officers were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Because of the heavy police presence, Majestic Lane was closed between Route 50 and Meadow Hill Lane. FCPD encouraged drivers to take alternative routes…
