Elderly woman killed, three hurt in I-495 crash

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — An elderly woman was killed and three people were hurt after a Sunday crash on Interstate 495 in Prince George’s County, according to Maryland State Police.

Troopers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash shortly before 12:30 p.m. on southbound I-495 at Temple Hills Road.

Police say an initial investigation determined that a Toyota was stopped on the right shoulder when a Volkswagen ran off the road and struck the car.
