MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police shut down Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg for several hours after a man was hit and killed by a car Wednesday morning.
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on May 14 near MD 355 and Interstate 270.

Their preliminary investigation revealed that the man was trying to cross Watkins Mill Road when he was struck by a 2018 Toyota Camry. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and began performing life-saving measures until medics arrived.
