SILVER SPRING, Md. (DC News Now) — A new robotic security guard is coming to a Montgomery County parking garage, but not everyone is on board.
The robot, known as “Parker,” is part of a pilot program by the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) aimed at enhancing public safety and deterring crime in parking facilities. It’s set to roll out this fall at the Ellsworth Drive/Civic Building garage in downtown Silver Spring.
