Suspect in homicide seen fleeing on bike in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Prince George’s County police are asking for assistance finding a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Laurel in July.

On July 25, officers responded around 10:20 p.m. for a reported shooting in the 13200 block of Laurel Bowie Road. They found 33-year-old William Askew in the roadway with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video released by the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) shows the suspect arriving and fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

Detectives are still working to determine a motive for the shooting.

PGPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment, in this case…
