Former Prince George’s County Fire Chief placed on administrative leave pending hiring practices investigation

WASHINGTON — Former Fire Chief Tiffany Green has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into pre-employment practices within the county. Green retired as fire chief in July. However, her role in public service didn’t end at her retirement announcement.

Green stepped into the role as the county assistant deputy chief administrative officer of public safety. Since her transition into her new role, her hiring practices of the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department have been called into question.
