Man hit with bat, robbed, threatened with machete in Arlington: Police

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — A man reported that he was hit with a bat before being robbed by five suspects in Arlington over the weekend, leading to multiple people being arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Shortly before 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force in the 4800 block of Columbia Pike. There, the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) said a man was walking when he was approached by a person he knew and four others.

The group of five reportedly assaulted him, struck him with a bat and stole his wallet before fleeing from the scene in a car.
