Five Maryland Pizzerias Make “Best Pizza Places in D.C.” List

Five Maryland pizzerias (all with locations in Montgomery County) have been recognized by Eater DC in its latest list of the “Best Pizza Places in D.C.,” further cementing the county’s reputation as one of the region’s top pizza destinations.

Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana, located in Gaithersburg, continues to earn national acclaim for its Neapolitan-style pies crafted by chef-owner Tony Conte. Known for its wood-fired oven and delicate, blistered crusts, Inferno has long been one of Maryland’s most celebrated pizzerias, frequently named among the best in the greater Washington region.

In Bethesda, M&N’s Pizza offers a creative menu that blends traditional and global flavors, serving up pies like Korean BBQ and Thai Chicken Curry alongside New York-style classics. Also in Bethesda, AP Pizza, an offshoot of chef and Olney-resident Mike Friedman’s All-Purpose concept, serves New York and New Jersey-inspired deck-oven pizzas in a casual setting that has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Andy’s Pizza, which already operates in Bethesda and several other locations across the region, was also highlighted for its reliability and wide appeal.
