Upper Marlboro Hairdresser Convicted of Assaulting Teen Client in Payment Dispute

In Upper Marlboro, Maryland, State’s Attorney Tara H. Jackson announced that Jayla A. Cunningham, 19, was convicted of second-degree assault. The case involved an incident in March 2025 at Cunningham’s salon. Cunningham assaulted a 15-year-old client after a disagreement over payment.
