An 18-year-old Germantown man, Liam Donnelly Coskun, has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in May 2025. The collision led to the death of Myrtle Gottlieb, an 88-year-old Rockville resident, who died on June 4, 2025. Coskun turned himself in to Montgomery County Police on November 21, 2025. He is being held without bond.
The crash happened on May 31, 2025, near Sam Eig Highway and Fields Road. Police say Coskun was driving a 2018 Jeep Compass and struck a 2017 Toyota Corolla that was stopped at a red light. Gottlieb was a passenger in the Toyota and was seriously injured. She later died at the hospital…
