Dave’s Hot Chicken is preparing to make its long-awaited debut on Rockville Pike, with the restaurant now expected to open in “about two weeks,” according to a representative from the chain’s White Oak location. The Rockville store is currently scheduled to open a couple days before Christmas (exact date not provided), marking the brand’s second location in Montgomery County.
The restaurant, located at 11564 Rockville Pike in the Metro Pike Shopping Center, has been under construction for several months. “Coming Soon” signage went up earlier this fall, signaling progress after a period of inactivity. Dave’s Hot Chicken is taking over the former McDonald’s space, which relocated earlier this year to the former Arby’s site up the road at 11710 Rockville Pike.
Dave’s Hot Chicken first entered Montgomery County with the opening of its White Oak location in November 2024.
