Several inches of snow possible in parts of Maryland

MARYLAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory across much of Maryland as a fast-moving winter system brings snow and cold temperatures to the region late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

The advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday to about 7 a.m. Sunday for central and northern parts of the state, including the Baltimore-Washington region. Snowfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with localized amounts up to 4–5 inches possible in northeastern Maryland and parts of the Baltimore area.

In Calvert and Charles counties, a separate advisory runs from midnight Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, with similar snowfall and slippery road concerns…
