Maryland governor announces new jobs at security fence manufacturer in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) — Maryland Gov. Wes Moore cut the ribbon on Thursday on a new manufacturing facility expected to bring dozens of new jobs to the region.

Hercules Custom Iron makes security barriers for major facilities across the state, such as the Purple Line Metro, BWI Airport, Northwest Stadium in Landover and Camden Yards in Baltimore.

“This is another economic expansion in Frederick,” Moore said. “Our state is growing and diversifying from Washington, D.C.”
