CALIFORNIA, Md. — A Christmas Day call for service at a rehabilitation facility in California escalated into a tense confrontation that ended with an arrest and multiple misdemeanor charges, according to Maryland State Police. Authorities say a 24-year-old woman allegedly refused to leave private property after being issued a no-trespass order earlier the same day, leading to allegations of resistance and disorderly conduct during her detention.
According to charging documents, Kelly Helen Woozley, 24, of Rockville, was charged with trespass on private property, resisting or interfering with arrest, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order. The incident occurred on Dec. 25, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m. Woozley was later released on her own recognizance. Court records list a trial date of Jan. 27, 2026.
