$1M In Damage After Massive Overnight Inferno Tears Through Montgomery County Home (Photos)

Flames tore through a Maryland home overnight, causing more than $1 million in damage, according to fire officials in Montgomery County.

Shortly after 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, first responders were called to the 15800 block of Phillips Oaks Drive in Spencerville, where crews were met by “heavy fire conditions” with flames showing throughout the residence.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer, crews were forced to go into “defensive firefighting operations,” and more than four dozen firefighters responded to the scene as the blaze intensified…
