SILVER SPRING, Md. (7News) — Drivers in downtown Silver Spring are raising new concerns about safety after dozens of vehicles were damaged inside parking garages over the weekend in what police describe as a potentially larger crime spree than initial reports show.
Sources tell 7News up to 40 cars may have been broken into inside at least two parking garages in downtown Silver Spring.
Most of the damage appears to have occurred Friday night into Saturday morning. Montgomery County police said they have confirmed at least eight vehicle break-ins have been officially reported so far, but they caution that the true number of victims may be higher…
