MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Montgomery County have released the name of the driver who died after crashing into a tree early Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as 28-year-old Michael Patrick Fitzgerald Jr. of Germantown.
The collision took place around 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 14. at the intersection of Bethesda Church Road and Johnson Drive. There, officers located a 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross that had slammed into a tree.
