WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that unfolded early Sunday in Northeast D.C.
According to MPD, officers were called around 1:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of New York Avenue, NE after nightclub security reported a person making threats towards security. The suspect attempted to enter a nightclub with another person and started threatening club security over an entrance fee, including saying they would return to the nightclub with a gun. The suspect was reported leaving the scene in a car before officers arrived.
