Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Store Wednesday Morning

A driver was transported to the hospital Tuesday morning after crashing a vehicle into a store at the Northgate Shopping Center in Aspen Hill, causing structural damage and prompting a response from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.

The incident was first reported around 8:06am as a vehicle into a building in the 13800 block of Georgia Avenue near Aspen Hill Road. Initial reports identified the location as Michael’s, but responders later clarified that the crash occurred at a neighboring business.

By 8:23am, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services confirmed that a driver had become trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by emergency crews.
