BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Gov. Wes Moore ordered his state agencies to review the audit process and resolution procedure Thursday with the goal of improving fiscal responsibility following a series of scathing audits released in recent months.
The directive went to his cabinet members and is set to work alongside $24 million included in the governor’s budget proposal to increase resources for agency oversight and improvement.
“We continue to confront outdated practices in our fiscal systems that have spanned multiple administrations and decades head-on,” Gov. Moore said in a news release. “We will act with urgency to drive reform and deliver more results for Marylanders.”…
