Man charged in Silver Spring crash that killed 15-year-old

SILVER SPRING, Md. (DC News Now) — A 19-year-old man from Silver Spring has been charged in a fatal crash that took place in January.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said that on Jan. 14, just before 11:20 a.m., officers and units with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive for a crash involving two cars.

Police said that a car was driving south on Lockwood Drive and tried to cross the double yellow line to pass a bus that was stopped in the road. That car hit another car that was in the intersection, causing the other car to lose control, leave the road and crash into a wooden utility pole.

MCPD said that 15-year-old Tayeba Rezaie of Pasadena, Md., died due to injuries he got during the crash…
