MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — One homeowner’s quick thinking helped to save their home in Montgomery County after it caught fire Wednesday night.
It all happened in the 20400 block of Cherrystone Court, just off Aspen Lane.
There, first responders with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service team responded to the area for a house fire around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Piringer noted that the homeowner used a garden hose to keep the flames from spreading. The family was able to escape the home with no injuries.
