Valentine’s Day Morning Fire Causes $500,000 in Damage

A fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damage to a home under construction in the 10200 block of Parkwood Drive in Kensington early Saturday morning.

According to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Seevixes (MCFRS) Pete Piringer, the fire was accidental and determined to have originated from welding work involving a metal I-beam that had been done the night before.
