Maryland is home to some of the largest shopping destinations in the Mid-Atlantic. Based on gross leasable area, these are the five biggest malls in the state as of 2026, ranked from fifth largest to largest.

White Marsh Mall in White Marsh comes in at number five, with approximately 1.2 million square feet of gross leasable space. A long-standing staple of the Baltimore area, the mall is part of a massive retail corridor that includes an adjacent IKEA and The Avenue at White Marsh. Its classic two-level layout is anchored by stores such as Boscov’s, JCPenney, and Macy’s, making it a reliable regional shopping destination.

Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda ranks fourth at roughly 1.223 million square feet. The mall caters to an upscale demographic and is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy’s.
