The community is rallying around a White Oak mother who was injured in a stabbing late last month, as family members organize a fundraiser to help support her recovery and care for her young daughter.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the incident occurred Saturday, February 28 in the 11500 block of February Circle in the White Oak area. Officers responded to the scene and located an adult female suffering from injuries. She was transported to a hospital with injuries initially described as non-life-threatening, and police said the incident appeared to be isolated. No suspects are currently in custody.
Family members have identified the victim as Alexa, a devoted single mother to her 1.5-year-old daughter, Bella. Relatives say Alexa suffered severe injuries during the attack and was told she lost vision in her right eye due to the trauma.
