Judge rules high-profile murder case will remain in Prince George’s County

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — The murder trial for the man accused of killing a Prince George’s County woman last year will remain in the Prince George’s County court system.

Attorneys for 35-year-old Hugo Hernandez-Mendez filed a motion requesting a change of venue, citing publicity issues and comments by local politicians. However, the judge denied the request.
