Police Plan Increased Presence in Downtown Silver Spring to Prevent Street Takeovers

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) announced officers will have an increased presence in downtown Silver Spring on Sunday evening as warmer weather brings more people to the area.

Police say officers will be working alongside Metro Transit Police to address traffic safety issues and prevent illegal street takeovers and car rallies.
