Upper Marlboro, MD – A series of overnight highway shootings has prompted an urgent investigation in Prince George’s County, with Maryland State Police warning drivers after three incidents unfolded along Maryland Route 5 and Interstate 495/95.
According to Maryland State Police, the shootings allegedly occurred late Monday night into early Tuesday morning at multiple locations along MD Route 5 and the Capital Beltway. Investigators said the first shooting was reported around 10:35 p.m. Monday on northbound MD Route 5 near Allentown Road.
