MCPS student, 17, charged as adult after stabbing near Gaithersburg Wawa

A 17-year-old Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) student was arrested and charged as an adult following a fight Monday in Gaithersburg during which he allegedly stabbed and injured two other boys, according to Gaithersburg police spokesperson Cpl. Dan Lane.

Gaithersburg police charged the teen, who lives in Gaithersburg, with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and two counts of dangerous weapon with intent, Lane said Tuesday afternoon in an email to Bethesda Today.
