The Guardian apartment building in downtown Silver Spring was recently sold to an undisclosed buyer at a foreclosure auction held last month.
The 167-unit office-to-residential conversion sold for $14.3 million at a substitute trustee’s auction on February 26, reflecting the tenant’s interest in a ground lease for the property executed in August 2022 between the landowner, Guardian Building Associates LLC, and the tenant, Guardian Tecton LLC.
