WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A 16-year-old was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after being shot in Northwest D.C., according to police.
Around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Kennedy Street NW for the report of a shooting. There, officers found evidence that a shooting had taken place, but did not locate any victims at the scene.

A short time later, police were notified that a 16-year-old boy had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. He was conscious and breathing.
