Kitchen Social’s future Downtown Crown location is moving into the next phase, with a $2 million permit now issued for interior work at the restaurant’s first Maryland outpost.
According to the permit, the approved work includes building out the new restaurant’s interior, making minor facade changes to the storefront, and installing a new exterior canopy. Before that work begins, the project will also involve demolition of the existing canopy structure left from the previous tenant, along with demolition of part of the exterior storefront to make way for new overhead doors.
The restaurant is taking over the former Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar space at 203 Crown Park Avenue in Gaithersburg. The newly issued permit marks a major step forward for the project and signals that visible construction activity should begin picking up soon…
