MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A man was killed in an early Friday morning crash on the northbound Interstate 270 express lanes in Rockville, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) officials.
Crews were called around 7:30 a.m. to the I-270 express lanes between Route 28 and Shady Grove Road after reports of a crash. Officials said they arrived to find a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.
A driver of a Volkswagen EOS was found trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. Officals said the driver, identified as Daniel Edward Gannon, 60, of Rockville, died from his injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was evaluated at the scene and declined to be taken to the hospital. No other injuries were reported…
