May 28—SIOUX FALLS — Ethan/Parkston’s Davin Hohn picked a good time for a personal best performance on Thursday.
Seeded No. 12 entering the competition at the South Dakota state high school track and field meet, Hohn, a senior, rose to the occasion and claimed second place in the Class A high jump with a leap of 6-foot-4. That was only bested by Lennox senior Teegan Mussser, who won the state title with a jump of 6-5.
Prior to Thursday, Hohn’s best jump of the season was 6-1 on April 28 and he cleared 5-10 when he competed at the same high jump pit at the Dakota Relays on May 1…
