Palace City Legion’s Dakota Classic run ends with pair of losses

Jun. 14—BRANDON, S.D. — After splitting its first two pool play games on Friday at the Dakota Classic, Palace City Post 18 lost one game each on Saturday and Sunday, ending its tournament run at Aspen Park.

In the first game on Saturday, Elkhorn North Equitable Bank (Neb.) raced past Post 18 in five innings, 10-0. Elkhorn North held Palace City to just one hit for the game, as Kaiden Allen earned the lone hit, while Elkhorn recorded nine hits of its own in the win.

Jacob Ebert from the Post 18 Junior team pitched for PCB Legion, as he surrendered 10 runs on nine hits with one strikeout through 2 2/3 innings pitched. Tyler Christensen came in relief, pitching 1 1/3 innings with zero runs and zero hits allowed plus two strikeouts…
