Sentencing for 2025 8th St. bridge manslaughter case

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The man found guilty of manslaughter in downtown Sioux Falls will be sentenced Monday.

Back in March, a Minnehaha County jury convicted Jubal Rattler of manslaughter in the 2025 death of Doris High Elk. He was found not guilty of second-degree murder.

SFPD investigating 2 separate stabbing incidents Monday

Rattler shoved High Elk off a wall near the Eighth Street Bridge. She died last July from her injuries. Sentencing is set for 3:30 this Monday afternoon.
