Pinball and pizza are back on Minnesota Avenue.
Union Pizza & Smash has opened in the former Boss’ Pizza & Chicken space at 2111 S. Minnesota Ave., and The Pinball Room there has reopened.

The owners of family entertainment center Union Social in Harrisburg have brought their passion for food and fun to Sioux Falls.
At the heart of it is Francisco Gajardo, the director of food and beverage for the Union offerings.
“Pizzerias are community. That’s the way I kind of see it,” said Gajardo, who was born in Chile and grew up in New Jersey, moving to Sioux Falls in 2015. “Like everything I do, it’s about bringing people together. It’s food, you know, right? You break bread with people, you talk. And that’s the perfect place for that. It’s relaxed, you can have some games. We made a couple of playlists. I just want to re-create the places that I grew up on that have left great memories over the years.”
The menu features five classic pizzas: cheese, pepperoni, sausage, margherita and pizza bianca. There are five specialties: Pleased To Meet You, Vodka Pie, Buffalo Chicken, Meatball and Veggie Delight…
