SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Showers and thunderstorms are continuing to linger in portions of KELOLAND this morning. This comes after a busy week with multiple rounds of active weather, which has brought plenty of moisture for several locations.
The chances for thunderstorms will keep hanging around into today and we could see that start to develop by the afternoon. You will want to keep an eye on the radar if you have any outdoor activities planned through the evening. It is looking better heading into the overnight hours, though, as clouds begin to move out.
We do have another threat for severe weather for portions of West and East River. A marginal risk (level 1/5) is in place and storms that develop could be capable of producing isolated hail and severe wind gusts.
For our temperatures, highs are going to be near to above average for this time of year with winds remaining on the lighter side.
It won’t be long before we see more 90s return to the forecast, especially in central and western KELOLAND. While many of us heat up, our skies are going to stay quiet for the end of the holiday weekend. Here is a look at your extended forecast:…
