SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A historic piece of South Dakota will roll through downtown Sioux Falls in tomorrow’s Independence Day parade.
The state’s Bicentennial Wagon will join Saturday’s parade with McCrossan Boys Ranch. The wagon was one of 50 from each state that traveled to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania for the nation’s 200th anniversary in 1976.
About 75 boys from McCrossan began their journey on April 2nd that year, traveling through all kinds of terrain and weather. 2,400 miles and 135 days later, they arrived on July 4th for an Independence Day celebration…
