SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Fourth of July tends to be a busy night for law enforcement, and this year has been no different for the Sioux Falls Police Department.
According to the Sioux Falls Police Call log, from 5:30 Saturday evening until 6:00 Sunday morning, there were 193 fireworks-related calls.
The final day for South Dakota residents to legally purchase and light off fireworks is Sunday. Sioux Falls city ordinance says any fireworks that launch into the air, explode, or create significant noise are not allowed within city limits.
