An Alliance, Nebraska, man has pleaded guilty to the fatal stabbing of Virgil Wayne Hawkwing III and now awaits a sentencing hearing that will determine how long he will spend behind bars.
The Sioux Falls Police Department arrested Kaleb Daniel Martin on April 18, 2025, for Hawkwing’s death. Martin pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of second-degree manslaughter on Wednesday, July 22.
