SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A destructive thunderstorm with winds up to 80 miles has caused power outages throughout Minnehaha County as well as southeastern South Dakota.
At 9 p.m. Saturday, Xcel Energy was reporting more than 12,000 customers without power in Sioux Falls. As of 10:30 p.m., Xcel was reporting more than 21,000 without power. Xcel had some estimations power restored by 6 a.m. Sunday.
