SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Storm damage in southwestern Sioux Falls ranged from a few broken twigs to entire trees falling over.
“It sounded like an explosion when those trees popped and the wind hit so fast,” said Keith Byer, a homeowner in southwest Sioux Falls.
Keith Byer’s yard was littered with large branches from a tree. But he’s not the only one out cleaning up. Byer has only lived in the neighborhood for a few months, so this weather event, although unfortunate, acted as a chance to meet the neighbors.

“It’s sort of interesting because when you’re new in the neighborhood, you don’t always get out to meet them. And now this is an instance to meet a lot of them today, share numbers,” said Byer…
